Mr. Bland, as he is affectionately called in Texas, has been on an organizing frenzy. In the last year he has organized three new Locals into our Division Locals #263, 266, and 265. John has been a stalwart when it comes to our International programs and practices. John’s other Locals include Locals 260, 261, 262, 267, 268, 270 and 276.

He is a Vice President of the Texas AFL-CIO and labors tirelessly for workers rights in the State Capitol. John does a great job with what he has to deal with in a right to work state
