College
Financial
Assistance
TWU members and
their families
are well-aware
of the rising
costs of
college. Each
year, in May,
TWU offers 15
scholarships to
the sons and
daughters of TWU
members through
the
Michael J. Quill
Scholarship
program.
Some local
unions, central
labor bodies and
state
federations of
labor offer
scholarships and
prizes.
One of the best
guides to
union-assistance
is the AFL-CIO
Guide to
Union-Sponsored
Scholarships,
Awards and
Student
Financial Aid.
The guide lists
3,000
scholarships
worth over $4
million offered
directly by
individual
unions, state
federations, and
local central
bodies. Single
copies are
available
without charge
to union members
(indicate your
union and local
affiliation)
from the AFL-CIO

Materials
