The Senate voted on two contentious issues Tuesday evening a bill condemning currency manipulation by the Chinese government which passed and the President’s jobs bill, the American Jobs Act which failed.
Important business continues in the upper chamber Wednesday when the three pending free trade agreements—Panama, South Korea, and Colombia—will likely be debated on the Senate floor and debate on the issue is also expected in the House.
The House Education and Workforce Committee has scheduled another hearing attacking the NLRB, and House T&I will attack the proposed National Infrastructure Bank. The Senate Special Committee on Aging will discuss potential changes to the Medicare system.
