TWU Founding President Mike Quill and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. were allies during a time of great societal upheaval. King spoke at the TWU’s Constitutional Convention in 1961.
Over six decades later, the TWU carries on King’s legacy by defending the livelihoods of working people, preserving our foundation of maintaining equality in the workplace and in our broader society.
In the spirit of King, we must learn to live together, love, and respect one another.
