Flight Simulator Engineers Reach Tentative Agreement with American Airlines
Dallas, Texas — Earlier today, another workgroup represented by the Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO reached a tentative agreement with American Airlines. The flight simulator engineers are members of the Joint TWU-IAM Association, which represents over 30,000 workers at the country’s largest airline.
The agreement addresses wages and other key issues, recognizing the skills and experience TWU members bring to the new American Airlines.
“We would like to thank both negotiations teams for their tireless work and commitment to reaching the agreement,” said TWU International Vice President Gary Shults, who assisted the negotiations. “Local 548’s hard work at the bargaining table has certainly paid off, and we thank American Airlines for working with us.”
A ratification vote has not yet been scheduled, but members can contact their local representatives for additional information.
