After months of hard-fought negotiations, TWU Local 241 workers at Columbia University reached an agreement over the weekend! The deal includes a fair wage package, essential bonuses, additional recognition at new campuses, and most importantly, no new increases to healthcare costs.
This victory comes after Local 241 authorized a strike in response to Columbia’s attempts to cut healthcare for frontline workers in the midst of a pandemic as the University plans for the return of students in the Fall. Once again, TWU members have proved that by standing together, we will win the protections that we deserve.
