After a two-year hiatus, the Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) was back in action, April 25-28. American Airlines sent six company and three student teams to Dallas, TX, to compete in a variety of aviation maintenance challenges. Members from TWU Locals 514, 591, 567 took part.
In the overall maintenance repair overhaul (MRO) category, American Airlines made it to the podium – twice! Team Tulsa placed second and the DWH Air Raiders placed third. Both teams included talented mechanics from the TWU. An all-women team also took part, which included TWU Local 514 member Melinda Hamm.
Congrats to all our aviation mechanics!
